Relive the excitement of your childhood, or experience it for the first time through the eyes of your student. This event showcases many of the most popular books for elementary school aged children, and allows you to stock your student's personal library while helping us stock our teachers' shelves. The PTA receives 50% of the proceeds in scholastic dollars and all of that money goes into supporting our staff with extra teaching supplies and books.

On April 29th, 2025, stroll through parent created booths and learn more about many of the countries and cultures that create the richness and diversity of our community. Last year we had 17 different booths that spanned the globe, and our families got to try different tasty cuisines, see beautiful art, and learn more about their neighbors and friends.
PROJECT CORNERSTONE shows our students that there is a whole community of adults who care about them!
This program is a community initiative led by the YMCA Its mission is to create an environment where adults support and value all youth so that they grow up feeling values, respected, and known. This program asks volunteers to come into the classroom once a month to read a book, lead a discussion, and do an activity with the students. All of the books and activities center around important themes in our students' lives and facilitate conversations about topics like self-confidence and healthy ways to express feelings.
Our YEARBOOK tells the story!
The Laurelwood Yearbook is a long standing tradition at Laurelwood Elementary. The yearbook is a full-color, 50-60 page soft cover book that contains photos of the year's activities, group pictures, and classroom pages. Available for purchase, the yearbook is a fantastic memento, created by the Laurelwood PTA yearbook staff, teachers, and parents. It’s one of the end-of-year favorites, enjoyed by students, parents, and teachers.
