In November 1960, six-year-old Ruby Bridges walked into William Frantz Elementary School in New Orleans and became the first Black student to integrate the school.
Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day is a school event that Laurelwood PTA helps support. Families are invited to walk to school together that morning.
