The National PTA Reflections program has encouraged student creativity since 1969. Participation focuses on expression, exploration, and positive recognition rather than simply winning.

Entry guidelines
- Open to all currently enrolled Laurelwood students
- Entries must be original and relate to the annual theme
- All student entries must be submitted online or virtually
- Each entry must be the work of one student
- Students may submit one work in each arts category
- Laurelwood recognizes TK–Grade 2 and Grades 3–5 divisions
- Selected entries may advance through council, district, state, and national review

From school to state
Entries are first recognized at Laurelwood. Our PTA then sends a selection on to be judged by the local PTA unit, and from there entries move through the council and district to California State PTA.
State honorees are celebrated at the California State PTA convention and shown in its Reflections gallery. The strongest entries go on to National PTA judging.
Due dates differ at each level, so the date above is Laurelwood’s school deadline. This summary is based on California State PTA’s Reflections page.
